MANSOUR, OBAID, SALEM and SHAMMA each sit in a CHAIR with a VR HEADSET beside them. KHALID is standing in front of them. 2 KHALID (CONT’D) 2 Today you will have the unique oppertunity to experience our brand new SPACE SIMULATOR. 3 OBAID 3 Oh yes! 4 KHALID 4 You will go on a zero gravity space walk. 5 OBAID 5 Brilliant! 6 KHALID 6 You will perform essential repairs to a SPACE STATION. Obaid is oblivious to what Khalid is saying. He is secretly playing, and reacting to, a GAME on his HANDY. CLOSE UP: Obaid’s handy - we see a space game with the evil robotic GALACTIC OVERLORD firing LASERS. Obaid is clearly playing well. 7 OBAID (O.S.) 7 Amazing! 8 KHALID 8 And you will discover what it’s really like to be an astronaut. 9 OBAID 9 Yes! Yes! Yes! 10 KHALID 10 Well, I'm glad you’'re so excited about it Obaid. Obaid looks up when he hears his name. GALACTIC OVERLORD D2 2. 11 OBAID 11 Huh?! Mansour looks at Obaid and shakes his head disapprovingly. 12 KHALID 12 Any questions? Mansour opens his mouth to talk but Obaid beats him to it. 13 OBAID 13 Yes. Will there be any slime squirting ASTEROIDS, robotic spider SENTINELS or galactic overlords? 14 KHALID (BAFFLED) 14 I don’t know what you’re talking about Obaid. Obaid opens his mouth to talk but Mansour beats him to it. 15 MANSOUR (TO KHALID) 15 They’re from a game he’s playing. Khalid finally gets what Obaid’s on about. He smiles, amused by Obaid’s lack of understanding. 16 KHALID 16 <CHUCKLES> Oh! I see. No, Obaid, this isn’t a game. It’s an ultra- realistic, state-of-the-art simulator. The others <LAUGH> at Obaid’s naivety. Nothing malicious, just spontaneous amusement. Obaid blushes, feeling foolish. 17 OBAID 17 Oh. Okay.... 18 KHALID 18 Now, I need three volunteers to be astronauts. Mansour, Salem and Shamma all enthusiastically put up their hands. ENTHUSIASTIC WALLA. Khalid smiles and nods. 19 KHALID (CONT’D) 19 Obaid, you’ll be in Mission Control. 20 OBAID (DISTRACTEDLY) 20 That’s fine. Obaid grins as he subtly continues playing his game again. Galactic Overlord D2 3. Khalid taps a SCREEN then looks at the CHILDREN. 21 KHALID 21 It’s ready to go. I’ll see you later. Happy space training. Khalid leaves. Mansour, Salem and Shamma all turn to Obaid who continues playing his game. Obaid looks up. 22 OBAID 22 What? 23 MANSOUR 23 We’re at the National Space Agency and you start talking about all that made up game stuff. 24 OBAID 24 Well, I’m sure this “made up game stuff” is a lot more fun than the simulator. Obaid continues playing his game. Mansour looks at Shamma and Salem. They shake their heads in disbelief. Then they grab their VR HEADSETS and prepare to put them on. Mansour looks over at Obaid. 25 MANSOUR 25 Come on Obaid! Obaid continues staring at his handy but grabs his VR headset. 26 OBAID (DISTRACTEDLY) 26 I’m coming. Mansour, Salem and Shamma put on their headsets.

The astronaut avatars of Mansour, Salem and Shamma appear in space. They are floating beside the gigantic space station. It is an incredible spectacle to behold. They look around in awe and wonder. 27 MANSOUR 27 Wow! They use POWER BOOSTERS on their suits to fly beside the space station. Galactic Overlord D2 4. 28 MANSOUR (CONT’D) 28 Mansour to MISSION CONTROL. Obaid are you there?

Obaid is slouched in his chair and has his VR headset resting on top of his head while he continues playing his game. 29 MANSOUR (O.S.) 29 Obaid! Where are you?! Obaid looks over at Mansour who has his VR headset on and is clearly fully engaged in the simulator. 30 OBAID 30 I’m coming! (TO HIMSELF) I’m running out of battery anyway. Obaid gets up, takes off his handy and looks around. He sees a POWER PAD on a nearby DESK and places his handy on it. He sits back down and unenthusiastically slips on his headset.

Obaid’s avatar appears. He looks around and walks over to a CONTROL PANEL by the WINDOW. Mansour, Salem and Shamma drift up to the window and stop. They stare in at Obaid. 31 MANSOUR 31 What tasks do we need to perform? Obaid looks at the screen. 32 OBAID 32 Shamma and Salem, you have to perform maintenance repairs on PRESSURE HATCH 37 and Mansour, you and I have to run tests on the station’s protective SHIELDS. 33 SHAMMA 33 We’re on our way. Salem and Shamma use their boosters and fly off. Obaid watches Mansour move towards a control panel on one of the space station’s four giant limbs. Obaid SIGHS. 34 OBAID (TO HIMSELF) 34 I wish I was playing my game. Galactic Overlord D2 5.

TRACK IN: Obaid’s handy is on the power pad. We see the paused Galactic Overlord game. A SMALL LIGHT FLASHES on and off as the handy charges.

On a HOLOGRAPHIC SCREEN, a small light flashes on and off and is accompanied by a BEEPING noise. BLINK races over to it. 35 BLINK 35 What do we have here?! Blink studies the screen and uses his finger and thumb to zoom in on the FLASHING LIGHT. 36 BLINK (CONT’D) 36 Oh Obaid! Have you really left your network open?! Can I bypass the Space Agency’s impenetrable security via your game?! Blink urgently moves data around on the screen and a graphic of the Space Agency appears. It opens like a large vault door. 37 BLINK (CONT’D) 37 Yes I can! I’m in! Blink transports himself into the screen with a <GLEEFUL LAUGH>.

Shamma and Salem float above and around a pressure hatch at the top of the space station whilst performing maintenance. TILT DOWN: Mansour arrives at a control panel. 38 MANSOUR 38 OK Obaid, I’m ready to do a systems check on the shields. 39 OBAID (O.S.) (UNENTHUSIASTICALLY) 39 Switching them on now. Giant glowing, holographic looking protective shields switch on around the space station. Mansour taps the screen on the control panel. Galactic Overlord D2 6. CLOSE UP: Screen - a graphic shows all the shields are running at full power. 40 MANSOUR 40 All systems looking good Mission Control. You can switch them off. The shields switch off and disappear. 41 OBAID (O.S.) 41 (SARCASTICALY) Ohh! This really is exciting. (NON-SARCASTICALLY) The Galactic Overlord game is much more fun. Mansour angrily flies up to the BRIDGE WINDOW and hovers in front of it. He glares at Obaid through the glass. 42 MANSOUR 42 I want to be an astronaut and I’m taking this seriously... So can you please quit talking about that stupid game full of stupid made up things?!

Obaid is about to reply but he does a double take at something behind Mansour. He looks momentarily puzzled. 43 OBAID (CASUALLY) 43 Are you telling me that Slime Squirting Asteroids are stupid made up things? 44 MANSOUR 44 Yes. I. Am! 45 OBAID (TRIUMPHANTLY) 45 Then what are those?! Obaid points to behind Mansour.

Mansour turns round. He <GASPS> in shock. A shower of asteroids are hurtling straight towards the station. Each asteroid is oozing and squirting bright green TOXIC SLIME. Galactic Overlord D2 7. 46 MANSOUR 46 (DISBELIEVING) I don’t believe it! (TO OBAID) Turn the shields back on! (TO SHAMMA AND SALEM) Shamma! Salem! Get to cover! As the station’s shields activate, a shocked Shamma and Salem fly to cover behind them and narrowly miss being hit by the asteroids that are now thundering past. Asteroids start smashing into the shields. GREEN SLIME splashes everywhere. 47 OBAID (O.S.) 47 Watch out for that slime! It’s toxic and will melt your space suits. More asteroids race past and explode into the shields. WOOSH! BAM! WOOSH! WOOSH! BAM! WOOSH! WOOSH! BAM! BAM! BAM! The children remain hidden until the asteroid shower passes. Mansour, Shamma and Salem fly out from the shields. 48 SALEM 48 That was close! Mansour looks around. He’s eyes widen in shock. 49 MANSOUR 49 It’s not over! One final asteroid approaches but it is absolutely enormous. 50 MANSOUR (CONT’D) 50 Obaid, put all shield power into quadrant 3!

Obaid frantically taps the screen. 51 OBAID 51 Prepare for impact!

The shields switch off in some areas but become bolder in one section just before the GIANT ASTEROID smashes into it. Green slime sprays everywhere. Mansour, Shamma and Salem all have to avoid it by skillfully maneuvering their SPACE SUITS. The shield turns off. Peace returns to space. Galactic Overlord D2 8. A relieved Mansour, Salem and Shamma fly up to the bridge’s window. 52 MANSOUR 52 I don’t understand what’s going on.

53 OBAID (VICTORIOUSLY) 53 Ha! SLIME SQUIRTING ASTEROIDS are in this simulator and you said they were only in my game! Mansour suddenly understands what is going on. 54 MANSOUR 54 Your game! Did you turn it off? Obaid stops looking victorious and starts looking guilty. 55 OBAID 55 Um...no. It’s re-charging...and still switched on. 56 MANSOUR 56 Blink must have piggybacked in on it and now he’s got access to the simulator. 57 OBAID 57 Uh-oh.

The children look around wondering what will happen next. Suddenly a swarm of destruction SENTINELS (space drones) swoop down and hover in front of the children. They move into a specific formation and create the red and blue eyed face of Blink. 58 BLINK 58 Greetings my little space adventurers. I am now in charge of this simulation. If you attempt to leave, I will destroy it. Then Mansour’s father will be fired and Mansour will never become an astronaut. Blink starts <LAUGHING>. Galactic Overlord D2 9. 59 MANSOUR 59 Why are you doing this?! 60 BLINK 60 Because it’s fun. ATTACK! The sentinels immediately move out of the face formation and dive towards the space station. As they land, metallic legs pop out and they start scuttling about like robo-spiders. They all land on or by the space station’s shield generator that Mansour had been working on earlier and start undoing BOLTS, removing PANELS and ripping out WIRES. 61 MANSOUR 61 They’re going to destroy the shields! Grab your HYDRO-SPANNERS and attack! Mansour, Salem and Shamma swoop down to the Sentinels and start hitting them with tools.

62 OBAID 62 That won’t work! Listen to me! What you need to do is... 63 MANSOUR (INTERRUPTING O.S.) 63 Keep on hitting them! We have to protect the space station! The frustrated Obaid thinks for a second and has an idea. He taps the screen on the control panel. 64 OBAID 64 Shamma.

Shamma is furiously bashing some Sentinels but failing to stop them from ripping wires out of a control panel. 65 SHAMMA 65 I’m a bit busy right now Obaid. 66 OBAID (O.S.) 66 If you want to stop these things, do as I say. Go for the leader. Galactic Overlord D2 10. 67 SHAMMA 67 Which one’s the leader? 68 OBAID (O.S.) 68 The one with red stripes. Shamma looks around and sees a Sentinel with red stripes nearby. It isn’t doing any damage, it’s observing the others. 69 SHAMMA 69 I see it! Shamma flies towards the leader passing Mansour and Salem (who are battling Sentinels) on her way. 70 MANSOUR 70 Shamma! Get back and stop them! Mansour urgently points at the Sentinels ripping out wires. Shamma lands beside the leader and starts bashing it. 71 MANSOUR (CONT’D) 71 Don’t worry about that one. Protect the control panel! 72 OBAID (O.S.) 72 Ignore him! Shamma keeps smashing the LEADER SENTINEL. 73 OBAID (O.S.) (CONT’D) 73 You can do it Shamma! 74 SHAMMA 74 Arghh!!!!! With a burst of energy, Shamma successfully destroys the leader Sentinel. She smashes it’s dome. A shower of SPARKS fly out and its LIGHTS TURN OFF. This causes a chain reaction which shuts down all the Sentinels. They detach from the station and drift off into space. 75 SHAMMA (CONT’D) 75 Yes!! The out-of-breath Mansour, Salem and Shamma fly back up to the bridge window and hover in front of it. 76 SALEM 76 Great work Shamma. 77 MANSOUR 77 Yes, how did you know that would work? Galactic Overlord D2 11. 78 OBAID (TRIUMPHANTLY) 78 I told her! Take out the leader and you stop them all. 79 SALEM 79 What happens next in your game? 80 OBAID 80 Well, after a swarm Sentinels, the Galactic Overlord arrives. 81 SALEM 81 I wish I hadn’t asked. In a blinding flash of lightning, BLINK MATERIALISES in the guise of the GALACTIC OVERLORD. He’s a hovering humanoid robot in a slick, sleek, jet black space suit with red and blue glowing eyes. 82 BLINK 82 Hello! Mansour turns to Obaid. 83 MANSOUR 83 How do we stop him?! 84 OBAID 84 Oh! You want my help now do you?! I’ve tried to tell you things before but you just wouldn’t listen. Blink starts to <LAUGH MENACINGLY> as his suit transforms. Numerous multi-barrelled LASER GUNS EMERGE out of it. 85 BLINK 85 Say goodbye to this simulator! All the guns begin to glow as they prepare to fire. 86 MANSOUR 86 Obaid! I was wrong and you were right! OK?! This may be a good time to start talking! Obaid stares at the Overlord and nods frantically. 87 OBAID 87 I agree! I’ll tell you everything! You have to access the game’s power- ups and download two items. Galactic Overlord D2 12. BAM! BAM! BAM! Red and blue lasers start shooting from the Overlord towards the children and the space station. Mansour, Shamma and Salem scramble to avoid the LASER CARNAGE. Heavy LASER FIRE bombards the space station. 88 MANSOUR 88 Put the shields back up Obaid! The shields come on. 89 MANSOUR (CONT’D) 89 I need to get to that TERMINAL. Mansour, Shamma and Salem fly over to a large terminal behind the shield. Mansour starts tapping away at the screen.

ALARMS ring. Obaid’s screens are flashing red. DANGER! 90 OBAID 90 Hurry Mansour! The shields won’t take much more punishment!

The bombardment of Blink’s laser fire continues hammering the shields. Mansour taps away at the screen as fast as he can. The space station rocks as the SHIELDS FLICKER AND FADE away. 91 OBAID (O.S.) 91 The shields are down! Blink’s lasers stop firing. He hovers in space and enjoys the moment. 92 BLINK 92 Bye, bye space station! Blink begins firing again. This time the lasers start hitting and damaging the unprotected space station. 93 MANSOUR 93 Cover me. I’ve nearly done it! Shamma and Salem grab DAMAGED PANELS and use them as shields. They take up a defensive formation around Mansour. Lasers blast into the panels but Shamma and Salem remain strong and successfully defend Mansour. Galactic Overlord D2 13. 94 MANSOUR (CONT’D) 94 I’m in! Obaid I’m patching through the game’s power-ups. What do we need?!

Obaid swipes through the numerous gadgets and devices from the game’s menu screen. He stops at a strange looking HANDHELD DEVICE. 95 OBAID 95 We need one of these. He swipes it up. Obaid starts swiping through all the gadgets again. He stops at a SILVER CANISTER with a red button on top. 96 OBAID (CONT’D) 96 But we also need this! He swipes it up.

97 MANSOUR 97 Thanks Obaid. Downloading now! Mansour taps the screen. The two items immediately download. The strange looking handheld device and the silver canister materialise in his hands. 98 MANSOUR (CONT’D) 98 I’ve got them! Blink stops firing lasers. He is curious (although not at all concerned) about what Mansour has. 99 BLINK 99 What have you got there? 100 OBAID (O.S.) 100 Mansour, press the red button first! Mansour hits the button on the silver canister. An antigravity force field grows from it and envelopes the children and whole space station. 101 MANSOUR 101 This is an anti-gravity force field and you’re not in it. Galactic Overlord D2 14. Blink shrugs nonchalantly. 102 BLINK (IMPERIOUSLY) 102 And why do *I* need to be inside an anti-gravity force field? 103 MANSOUR 103 Because of this. Mansour holds up the device and fires it into space behind Blink. A giant BLACK HOLE materialises. Blink turns round and stares in horror. 104 BLINK 104 Noooooo! A rotating, pixillated and defeated Blink is sucked into the powerful black hole while the space station and children stay where they are. When Blink has gone, Mansour uses the devices again and makes the black hole and force field disappear. The severely damaged space station re-sets itself and becomes as good as new. Mansour, Shamma and Salem float up to the bridge’s window. A smiling Obaid looks out at them. 105 OBAID 105 Nicely done Mansour! Mansour looks at his friend and smiles. He puts his hand on the window. From the other side of the glass, Obaid puts his hand against Mansour’s. 106 MANSOUR (SINCERELY) 106 Thanks for everything Obaid. 107 SHAMMA 107 We’ve saved the space station. 108 SALEM 108 And the simulator. 109 MANSOUR 109 And my Dad’s job!

The children remove their VR headsets. Khalid enters the room. Galactic Overlord D2 15. 110 KHALID 110 I hope you enjoyed the space simulator. The children all smile and nod enthusiastically. <HAPPY & APPRECIATIVE WALLA>. Khalid turns to Obaid: 111 KHALID (CONT’D) 111 And I hope you didn’t find it too dull without any Galactic Overlords to battle Obaid!? Much to Khalid’s bafflement, the children all burst into <LAUGHTER>.
